Couples Counseling
Couples Counseling in Colorado and Wyoming | EFT & Parts Work (IFS) at Re-Emerge Counseling
Relationships are meaningful, beautiful, and—at times—deeply challenging. Anyone who has been in a partnership knows that love alone isn’t always enough to maintain a strong, healthy connection. Every relationship has its own history, patterns, and needs. At Re-Emerge Counseling, I take the time to understand you and your partner so we can address the core issues keeping you stuck and help you rebuild a relationship rooted in trust, intimacy, and emotional safety.
Many couples come to therapy wanting better communication, more intimacy, more affection, or simply to stop repeating the same painful cycles. These patterns often begin as bids for closeness but end up creating disconnection, frustration, or the sense that “nothing is working anymore.”
You don’t have to stay together—but if you want to repair your relationship, heal old wounds, and feel close again, couples counseling can help you rebuild the partnership you’re longing for.
Couples Therapy Using EFT & Parts Work (IFS)
I incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) / Parts Work to help couples slow down reactive cycles, understand their deeper emotional needs, and learn new ways of reaching for each other. This integrative approach allows partners to:
-
Recognize and interrupt negative interaction patterns
-
Understand their emotional triggers and protective parts
-
Build safe, vulnerable, heart-centered communication
-
Experience deeper intimacy and authentic connection
When you feel truly seen, heard, and understood, connection becomes possible again. Vulnerability becomes safer. And repair becomes something you can navigate together.
Affirming & Inclusive Couples Counseling
Love is love. I welcome couples and partnerships of all orientations, identities, and structures. My goal is to help you build a healthy, sustainable, emotionally nourishing relationship—one that supports each person and strengthens the bond you share.
Session Length
Couples sessions are recommended to be 80 minutes to allow time for deeper exploration, though 50-minute sessions are also available.
